Featured Goldun Quarter Horses

Welcome to GOLDUN  QUARTER HORSES!  We hope this Website will help you become familiar with our Foundation Quarter Horses and the “Poco Bueno Blood Lines” and grulla color we have worked so hard to achieve.  Please feel free to surf away!

We originally bred for the “DUN, GRULLA” Color because of the unique trait of HOOVE HARDINESS-that a dark hoof gives a horse for use in these hard Rocky Mountains.  We also wanted temperament, since we did quite alot of elk and deer hunting and packing in stoves, tents, and lots of inexperienced  wranglers.    Some, had their own horses and we could definitely write books aboutBlue Rushing the Cow traveling with unexperienced horses, mules and weekend cowvboys.  Those were years we wouldn’t trade for anything, but it sure did lay the foundation for quality horses with temperament and a natural TRUST between rider and horse   That gives you a little in-sight into Goldun and our herd of Duns and Grulla horses.  JAZ POCO GOLDUN BLUE (BLUE) fits into our program   He is an exceptionally pretty luminous grullo stallion.  He stands approximately 14.3+ hands and weighs approx. 1250 lbs.  He is accented with rich dark points, dark shadows, barring and tiger stripes and a distinctive dorsal.  His sire and dam are grullo, plus he has over 8 generationsn of grullo’s in his immediate pedigree. BLUES GRULLO COLOR AND TEMPERAMENT ARE NOT JUST A ‘BY CHANCE’ HAPPENING.  Instead, beause of this heavy con centration of ‘color genes’ he predominately projects homself in his protege..

Blue is entered in the AQHA Incentive FundRMRHA Sire & Dam Futurity @ 970-223-1640 and the NRHA STALLION STAKES @ 405-946-7400
